Here’s another painting of my sweet Bub when he was a kitten. He reached down for his favorite toy while I snapped this pic.

tuxedo cat sun sunshine

It was really fun painting this bathing beauty - who hasn’t wanted to stretch out in the sun now and again?

dog pair shepherd lab

This pair of loving pals was a commission. The original photo showed them in the back seat of a car, so I used texture to help break up all that background.

Best Friends - SOLD

Pink Rose

This painting is extra special to me - the rose was from my mom’s own garden in my hometown, long dubbed ‘The Rose of New England’.

Wine With Everything

I sometimes enjoy creating a still life with items at hand (yes, it’s THAT wine!) and painting from that. In this piece I especially enjoy the warm browns of the dried lotus pod and the label as a backdrop for the deep tones in the grapes.

This still life was the result of a painting class I attended, and I really had a great time with this one. I think it shows, how about you?

Tomatillo

I’ll be honest, I actually purchased a tomatillo just so I could paint it! I kept spotting them in the produce section and love their papery wrapping. (Also I made tomatillo soup, bonus!) I decided to define this piece with pen and I think it added a fun illustrative feel.

No-laroids

I was fortunate to have lived near a wonderful beach full of driftwood, I can’t tell you how many photos I’ve taken there. I wanted to do something really different and decided to make this sunset scene look like it spread across two polaroids.
